Details Emerge In Fatal Stabbing Tuesday In Norristown

The man found dying in an alleyway in Norristown on Tuesday has been identified.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- The man stabbed to death in Norristown early Tuesday morning has been identified, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said.

Christopher Thomas, 43, was found suffering from stab wounds at 12:17 a.m. on the 600 block of Jamison Alley, according to the DA.

Thomas was still alive when he was found, the DA said. He was taken to Einstein hospital and later pronounced dead.

An autopsy performed by a forensic pathologist on Tuesday determined Thomas died as a result of multiple sharp force injuries and ruled that the manner of death was homicide, according to the DA.

DA Kevin Steele and Norristown Police Chief Mark Talbot have announced an investigation into the homicide.
