Discover old taverns and eccentric German customs at Heckler Plains!

All day tavern program with "Gesundheit" a campfire conversation about the unusual customs and superstitions of our German ancestors.

Saturday, October 17th - Visit the Heckler Plains farmstead to see its transformation into a tavern of the 1820’s Federal period and talk to the folks from the past who operated the Public House and those who lived and farm the land along with those who are just passing through the region in their travels. Attend a Campfire gathering Saturday evening at 7 p.m. and learn about German folktales and superstitions of the area. Bask in the candlelit tavern after the campfire and have some cider and snacks to toast the coming harvest! Program Opens at 9:00 am
