NORRISTOWN, PA — A pit bull died after being chained outside in the freezing weather last week in Norristown, according to a report.
The Times Herald reports that police were first informed of animal cruelty before midnight on Jan. 6.
When officers arrived on the scene on the 1200 block of Swede Street, they found a tan pit bull that had frozen to death behind a home, the report states.

The residence had received four complaints of animal cruelty over the past year. When police spoke with the resident, she told them that it was her who had left the dog outside, according to the report.
Police said that charges will be pressed.
