'Drive-Thru Safari' Returning To Norristown's Elmwood Park Zoo
The unique drive-thru safari is coming back to Elmwood Park Zoo, with additional dates announced and tickets soon going on sale.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Elmwood Park Zoo took note of the overwhelming popularity of their drive-thru safari experience, which launched for a few special days over Memorial Day weekend. Tickets to the event quickly sold out as customers who missed the zoo during the coronavirus shutdown leapt at the unique opportunity.
Now the zoo is bringing the drive-thru safari back, with several new dates announced.
The safari will return on both May 31 and June 6. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, May 29 online here.

The program takes guests on a tour through many animals that are not on exhibit, and features interaction with Elmwood's educational ambassadors and environmental interpreters.
Many of the animals are typically only found in the zoo's Zoo-On-Wheels program, like Noah the bald eagle and Stella the Temple Owl.
