Drunk Driver Who Escaped Custody Has Norristown Connection: Cops

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, PA -- A drunk driver escaped police custody in Plymouth Township and remains on the run, authorities said.

Jamil Boyd, 35, was pulled over at a business last Friday for suspicious activity, according to police.

Police gave Boyd field sobriety tests, which he failed, they said. They then tried to take him into custody. Boyd resisted arrest and fled from the scene on foot, police said.

He was last seen on Ridge Pike near Fairfield Road.

Police said he has connections to Pottstown, Norristown, Philadelphia, and Upper Darby.
