PHILADELPHIA, PA — They're the defending Super Bowl champions, but how many teams do the Eagles beat out when it comes to overall worth?
In the latest analysis published by Forbes Magazine, the Eagles are the 10th most valuable team in the league.
For the 12th straight year, the Dallas Cowboys are the NFL's most valuable team and the world's most valuable sports franchise. Forbes calculated the Cowboys to be worth $5 billion, a 4 percent increase over last year.

It's a testament to the NFL's staggering financial success that the Eagles, on top of the world right now after their victory in Super Bowl 52, rank just 10th among the league's 32 teams in worth. The Eagles come in above the average franchise value of $2.57 billion, which is a 2 percent increase over last year. That's the smallest increase since 2011, when values decreased an average of percent.
In addition to the Cowboys, the Eagles NFC East rivals, the New York Giants (3rd) and the Washington Redskins (5th) also placed in the top 10. The cross-state rival Steelers came in at 15th.
