The Eagles epic victory over the Bears on Sunday has become the stuff of legend overnight.
Just two days after Cody Parkey's potential game-winning field goal was blocked — and then proceeded to hit the upright and the crossbar — the Philly area once again has Eagles fever.
The Eagle's wild, back and forth victory over a favored Chicago team, has inspired wild celebrations, t-shirts, billboards, and even some Gritty madness.

While the postgame frenzy produced some conspiracy theories over Parkey, a former Eagle who hit the uprights an astounding six times during the 2018 season, a closer examination showed that it was not exactly fate or Parkey that determined the direction of the final field goal. It was blocked by defensive lineman Treyvon Hester.
The moment, regardless of the official ruling, has nonetheless cemented itself in Philadelphia lore, perhaps just a notch below the Philly Special.

Nothing Philadelphia would be complete these days without the orange monster himself putting in a few words. Gritty, calling it the "Parkey challenge," recreated the field goal during the Flyers game while wearing a "Bird Box" blindfold.
