Earth Week Programs At Norristown Farm Park

Remove invasive plants, plant native species, contribute to animal restoration projects, make Earth Day art, and much more.

NORRISTOWN, PA --Celebrate Earth Week by volunteering for an animal habitat restoration project at Norristown Farm Park on Sunday, April 24, 2016 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.

Improve animal habitat by removing non-native invasive plant species and planting some native species. Individuals, families, and groups are welcome. Bring work gloves.

Loppers, pruning saws, shears, and hand trowels are helpful to bring along if available.

Before that, make Earth Day art at Norristown Farm Park on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 1:00pm. Learn about recycling and other ways to help the earth. Play games and make an Earth Day craft.

This program is suitable for children three and older with adult accompaniment. There is a $5.00 fee per child.

Adults and children nine and older are encouraged to volunteer for Earth Week, and three and older for the Earth Day event.

Preregistration is suggested for the first event and required for the second. Please call 610-270-0215 to preregister.

Norristown Farm Park is located at Barley Sheaf Drive and Germantown Pike in East Norriton, PA 19403. Meet at the park office.
