East Norriton Woman, War Nurse, Passes Away At 91

"An inspiring woman" and treasure of East Norriton has passed on.

Phyllis Theresa (Fragale) Pisano, 91, of East Norriton, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2015, at the Devon Manor, in Devon PA., surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Anne (Cicchetti) Fragale. She was also the loving wife of the late John H. Pisano.

Phyllis graduated from the Montgomery School of Nursing, as well as attended University of Pennsylvania. After graduation she went on to become a registered nurse. She was a member of the Registered Nurse Association, Catholic War Veterans, and was also enlisted as a cadet in the military. For many years she worked at Bryn Mawr Hospital where she devoted over 30 years to her profession as a nurse. She was also a dedicated parishioner to the St. Titus Church in East Norriton. Phyllis was beautiful inside and out, she was the most loving mother, and wife, most forgiving and giving selfless humble person who took care of not only her children and husband but her brothers and sisters and extended family when ever in need, she would capture the hearts of many with her sincere words and infectious smile, she was a fascinating woman who dedicated her life caring for others. She will be truly missed by all.

Phyllis is survived by her two daughters, Jill Pisano, of Phoenixville PA., Jayne (Angelo) Aras, of Devon PA.; two sisters Anna Fragale Burns and Janet Fragale Hartmaier. And her three loving grandchildren, Gregory Furlan, Brittany Furlan, and Jon Jorge Aras; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her four siblings. Mary Fragale Picezonka, Anthony, Paul, and Charles Fragale.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday November 17, 2015 from 11 to 11:50 a.m. at the Holy Saviour Church in Norristown PA 19401, Mass will follow the viewing at 12 p.m. Burial will take place in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
