East Norriton is getting a new chief of police, as former Chief Karyl Kates has resigned.

EAST NORRITON, PA — The end of an era has come at the East Norriton Police Department.
East Norriton is getting a new chief of police, as former Chief Karyl Kates has resigned.
Kates has been serving the township for more than 25 years. She released the following statement as her time with the department came to a close:

"Today, I am officially retiring and moving on to the next chapter in my life...I just wanted to say what a blessing and pleasure it has been to serve our Community over the past 25+ years, and how truly honored I feel to have been your Chief of Police for the last 8 years. May God bless you and your families. Please keep the fine men and women of this PD in your prayers! Thank you and farewell."
Lt. Brandon Pasquale will succeed Kates as East Norriton's chief of police.
