Elmwood Park Zoo Announces Expanded Hours, Giraffe Feeding Return
After weeks of limited opening days and hours, Elmwood is expanding its offerings.
NORRISTOWN, PA — Norristown's Elmwood Park Zoo is expanding its operating hours as it continues a return to semi-normalcy following the construction-related shutdown earlier this year.
The zoo is now open seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., they announced.
Breakfast with the Giraffes, one of the zoo's most popular offerings is also back. Dhoruba, Gerald, and Mokolo are available to dine with on select dates.

Demolition of parts of the zoo's entrance began in January, as the zoo prepared to lay the groundwork for its new welcome center and animal hospital. It was closed to visitors through March.
Ground broke in early April on the hospital and center. The work is anticipated to be completed by the spring of 2024, in time for the celebration activities surrounding the zoo's 100th birthday. The new welcome center is slated to be completed by then, too.
