Elmwood Park Zoo Gets $500K Grant For Expansion
Elmwood Park Zoo is continuing to grow.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Elmwood Park Zoo is continuing to grow.
The zoo has received $500,000 in funding from the state's Commonwealth Financing Authority. The Authority funds redevelopment programs that aim to create jobs and grow the state's economy while improving cultural and recreational opportunities.
Specifically, the money will be used to build a new parking lot at Elmwoo between the lower lot and Harding Boulevard, according to State Rep. Matt Bradford (D-70).

“This is outstanding news for our region,” Bradford said. “I am thankful to the CFA for its investment and for partnering with the Montgomery County Redevelopment Authority on these projects.”
The new lot will add 222 parking spaces, and all the zoo to continue to grow, officials said.
