Elmwood Park Zoo To Host Autism-Friendly Halloween Event
The "Boo Just For You" Halloween event is organized with guests with special needs in mind.
NORRISTOWN, PA — Elmwood Park Zoo, the first zoo certified as a Certified Autism Center, has announced a unique upcoming Halloween event organized with guests with special needs in mind.
The "Boo Just For You" celebration will take place on Friday, Oct. 12 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m

“We are excited to be hosting our first ever ‘Boo Just For You’ for our guests with special needs,” Laura Houston, Director of Education at Elmwood Park Zoo. said in a statement. “We understand that Halloween can be a challenging time for children with special needs, so we wanted to provide a unique opportunity for them to celebrate the fun of the holiday in a relaxed and welcoming environment.”

The event will include special animal meet and greets, a costume parade, treat stations, and much more.
The first 100 guests to register online here can do so for free, thanks to a sponsorship from Crazy Aaron's Puttyworld.
Personal care attendants or aids may enter for free.
