NORRISTOWN, PA — Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown is planning to reopen on Feb. 28, they announced this week, following several weeks of construction and winter weather-related closures.

Progress continues on several projects and exhibit renovations around the zoo, as some of the work was slowed by the recent blizzard and other storms.

“Our team has made tremendous progress despite challenging winter weather,” Elmwood's CEO, Al Zone, shared in a statement. “While some projects are still underway, we didn’t want to delay welcoming families back to the Zoo as we head toward milder days. We’re excited to reopen and continue building new experiences throughout the spring.”
