Elmwood Zoo Closed After Losing Power

Wednesday's storm left some significant damage in the area, causing Elmwood Zoo to close to general admission Thursday.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Wednesday's storm left some significant damage around southeastern Pennsylvania, including widespread power outages that lingered into Thursday morning.

Elmwood Park Zoo was among the locations impacted by power outages, leading them to close to general admission on Thursday.

The zoo said they're still hosting their on-site camps and group trips.

If you pre-purchased an admission ticket dated for Thursday, it will be a valid for another calendar year from the date you bought it.

"We greatly appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience," the zoo said. "Elmwood Park Zoo will reopen tomorrow, Friday, July 23 at 10AM."
