Elmwood Zoo Gets $35K Donation For New 'Connection Corner'

NORRISTOWN, PA — Elmwood Park Zoo has received a $35,000 donation that will cover the creation of a new "Connection Corner" to showcase educational programming involving select animals from the zoo.

The donation, a gift from the TD Charitable Foundation, will forma dedicated space across from the zoo's playground for daily presentations with the zoo's animal ambassadors.

Typically, the animal ambassadors appeared on a pop-up basis only, participating in Zoo on Wheels programs at local schools and other public events.

Now, these educational programs promoting wildlife and conservation can take place regularly.

The Corner will be open daily; appearance times and schedules will be posted online at ElmwoodParkZoo.org.
