Elmwood Zoo Invites Public To Name Cockroaches After Former Lovers

Happy Valentines Day. For others, "enjoy sweet revenge" as roaches named for your ex are eaten by a skunk.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Elmwood Park Zoo has announced something entirely different for Valentine's Day this year.

The zoo's always creative marketing department is launching one of those "name a cockroach after your former lover" initiatives.

In this particular iteration of the recent trend, residents can make a $10 donation to have a roach that will be fed to the zoo's skunk named for their ex.

"Sometimes love is wild, and sometimes LOVE STINKS," the zoo's page announced with immoderation Monday.

The zoo's resident skunk, Pesto, is reportedly "looking forward to a good munch." Participants will receive a video of Pesto eating their ex's namesake alive.
