Elmwood Zoo's 'Wild Lights' Holiday Celebration Returns For 2020
Organizers say the popular holiday lights spectacle "transforms the zoo into a bright winter wonderland."
NORRISTOWN, PA — The popular holiday light spectacle at Elmwood Park Zoo is back for 2020.
The "Wild Lights" celebration, which organizers say transforms the zoo into a "bright winter wonderland," will officially open on Friday, Nov. 20. There will be coronavirus precautions in place.
"We're very excited to be able to host Wild Lights this year," Al Zone, the executive director and CEO of the zoo said in an announcement. "We know that there aren't as many options for the folks that are seeking holiday entertainment."

In addition to the lights, evening events are scheduled for each night, including a variety of animal attractions, live performances, holiday music, carousel rides, and photos with Santa.
The zoo said they'll be utilizing the same COVID-19 protective measures they've had in place since they reopened to regular admission in June. Tickets will be for timed admission to manage overall capacity, masks are required for all guests save children under the age of 2, and social distancing will be encouraged.

The event will run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on select days between Nov. 20 and Dec. 30. Admission is $12.95 for adults and children. For tickets and more see here.
The attraction is open each Friday through Sunday through Dec. 13. It's then open from Dec. 18 through Dec. 23, and Dec. 26 through Dec. 30.
