Family Displaced After Fire In Norristown Home

Breaking: A family is displaced after a fire in a Norristown home on Tuesday night.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A family was displaced after a fire at a home in Norristown on Tuesday night. No one was injured.

The incident was first reported on the 800 block of Swede Street, near Joseph K. Gotwals Elementary School, at around 6:50 p.m.

The fire was confined to the attic and second floor apartment of the structure, Norristown Fire Chief Tom O'Donnell said.

The blaze was swiftly brought under control by firefighters in about 15 minutes.

O'Donnell said the fire appeared to be accidental in nature. An investigation remains underway.
