Fire At Norristown Area HS Extingished
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
NORRISTOWN, PA — Firefighters battled back a blaze at Norristown Area High School Monday morning. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
The incident occurred at around 5:55 a.m. in the athletic wing of the school.
Officials said that crews on the scene "quickly located" and extinguished the blaze. Firefighters were on the scene for several hours cleaning the area and ventilating the wing of smoke.

The exact extent of the damage is not yet clear, but appeared to be contained to a small area.
The school still managed to open for in-person instruction, but on a modified schedule. Buses were delayed for middle and elementary school students.
