The second free lunch pick up for Norristown children during the coronavirus outbreak will occur on Wednesday
NORRISTOWN, PA — The second free lunch pick up for Norristown children during the coronavirus outbreak will occur on Wednesday.
Unlike other districts, Norristown has moved to having only one pickup per week, with enough lunches and breakfasts provided per children to last that period of time. This way, individuals are not exposed to the public every day.

It's not yet clear if the service will be able to continue beyond the next weeks, officials said.
"Any meals not distributed during the daytime hours will be available at Montco OIC in the evening for families that have parents that are working during the day," the school district said. "We are grateful that we are still permitted to provide this vital service during these challenging times. We are uncertain of our ability to continue this service beyond the next two weeks. We will continue to communicate with families as things develop."
