Harleysville Man Convicted In Norristown Home Invasion Killing
The home invasion robbery ended with a 28-year-old local man dead.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A Harleysville man was convicted of first degree murder this week in a home invasion killing in Norristown in 2019.
Brandon Thompson, 35, was sentenced to life in prison in connection in the killing of 28-year-old Alonzo J. Anthony.
The conviction comes after the man who police said entered the apartment with Thompson, Rashaan A. Stevenson, 34, of Reading, was aquitted in a February trial on the same charge.

The invasion occurred on April 2, 2019 at around 10:53 p.m. on the 300 block of Fornance Street.
Stevenson and Thompson, both armed and wearing masks, broke into the apartment, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.

As the pair entered, they fired several shots that killed Anthony. They then stole marijuana, cash, and a cellphone before fleeing the scene.
Two children in the house at the time were not injured, police said.
Detectives collected bullet casings, a hat and other evidence. A state police forensic DNA analysis concluded that the hat belonged to Thompson. Investigators also traced a cell phone used the day of the homicide to Thompson.
