No Meth Lab In Apartment After Fatal Overdose In Norristown
Breaking: Contrary to initial suspicions, no meth lab was present after a man was found dead of an overdose in Norristown Friday morning.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Contrary to initial suspicions, no meth lab was present at the suspected hazmat scene in Norristown Friday morning, where one person has been confirmed dead, police confirmed.
The incident was first reported at around 9:20 a.m. on the 300 block of East Airy Street, when first responders found a young man dead of an apparent overdose in an apartment building.
As police investigated the scene, they found various items and materials that they suspected could be used to manufacture methamphetamine. Due to the volatile nature of meth materials, the Montgomery County Hazmat unit and the Pennsylvania State Police Meth Lab Response Team were called to the scene.

As the investigation commenced, residents of the area were evacuated in an abundance of caution, police said.
By 2 p.m., specially trained state police officers determined that the scene did not contain a meth lab, and by 2:30 p.m., residents were allowed to return to their homes.

The victim has not yet been identified, as his family is being notified.
