Healing Voices Public Meeting

A discussion with Rufus May and Elisabeth Svanholmer

The Montgomery County Hearing Voices Network (MCHVN) invites you to join us for a follow-up discussion to the April 29th world premiere presentation of the film "Healing Voices".

International presenters Rufus May and Elisabeth Svanholmer will discuss the key issues presented in this very thought provoking film. The evening is intended to be a dialogue to share thoughts and continue the discussion that honors everyone's experiences about unusual or extreme experiences commonly called "mental illness".

Rufus May has worked as a clinical psychologist for 19 years in England. His work is inspired by 15 years working with the World Hearing Voices Network and his own experience of extreme states, psychiatric treatment and recovery in his late teens. Elisabeth is an artist and has worked as a Hearing Voices speaker, trainer and facilitator since 2006 in Denmark and other parts of Europe, as well as Canada and Australia. Her work is inspired by her lifelong experiences with hearing voices.
