Hunt Continues For Escaped Prisoner Aaron Creekmore

The man who threatened to kill his girlfriend in Norristown remains on the loose.

Authorities continue to hunt for Aaron Creekmore Thursday morning, days after he escaped from a prison work release program.

The man who threatened to kill his girlfriend in Norristown apparently knew ahead of time that he would be escaping, threatening the woman days before the incident.

Creekmore failed to return from the work release program on Monday, June 20, police said.

He had been held at Northampton County prison prior to that.

Officials believe that based on his previous threats he could have attempted to immediately return to the Norristown area, and law enforcement throughout the area mobilized to find him.

On Mother's Day, Creekmore had choked his girlfriend severely, leaving cuts on her neck, according to Lehigh Valley Live, but she managed to escape. She reported the incident, leading to his incarceration.

He reportedly sent her a Facebook message Friday saying that he was going to get free, which turned out to be true.
