Intruder Enters Ursinus College Women's Dorm Rooms Overnight

COLLEGEVILLE, PA — A male intruder entered women's dormitory rooms at Ursinus College during two separate incidents over the last few nights, the public safety office warned the school community.

It's not known if the same intruder is involved in both incidents. No one was injured and no items were reported missing, the school said.

The first incident occurred at around 2:45 a.m. on Sunday, Oct 4, in a suite at Reimert Hall.

The man, described as slim, white, 5'10, and in his thirties, entered an unlocked dorm room, where he was confronted by a female student, the school said.

Once he was confronted he fled the suite. Security found no sign of him.

A second incident occurred at 4:46 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at New Hall. Again, a man entered a woman's unlocked dorm room.

In this second case, the female student was in bed and woke up when the man came in. She remained quiet for the duration of the time the man was inside the room, which was about five minutes, according to the school. He made no move toward the student in her bed, and eventually quietly left the room, leaving the door slightly ajar upon departure.

In the second incident, the intruder was described as college-aged, white, with cargo shorts, and hair covering his face.

School officials are investigating the incidents. In the meantime, they're reminding the student body to keep their residence hall doors locked.
