Investigation Underway After Norristown HS Placed On Lockdown

NORRISTOWN, PA — Norristown Area High School was placed under lockdown on Tuesday afternoon after a threat was made regarding a weapon.

The incident occurred just before 1 p.m. after a fight between students.

The high school was evacuated as police arrived and throughly searched the building with K-9 units.

No weapons of any kind were found. And no injuries were reported.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the threat.

Students, meanwhile, were released from school and mental health resources have been made available to them.
