Investigation Underway After Norristown Pizzeria Owner Attacked
A woman who tried to protect her business from a robbery was beaten by a group of men, according to police and media sources.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A Norristown pizzeria owner was attacked after attempting to protect her business from a robbery recently, according to authorities and media sources.
The incident occurred back on Feb. 19 at Mama Venezia's Pizzeria, on 674 E. Marshall Street.
6ABC reports that the owner, Ying Ngov, chased after the suspects with a shovel when they refused to pay for beer.

The group of men shoved her to the ground and then began beating her before fleeing the scene, the report states.
No arrests have yet been made, but the Norristown Police Department said that an active investigation is ongoing and that attempts are underway to identify the attackers.

"We’re working with a lot of good neighbors in the area, who have just been outstanding," Lt. Todd Dillon told Patch Monday. "I feel confident in our progress."
