Jeffersonville Man, Local Dentist, Passes At 72

Described as the "consummate dentist," Richard Branca, a Villanova grad, also loved golfing, drumming, skiing, flying, and model trains.

NORRISTOWN, PA -- Richard A. Branca, 72, died Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at his residence in Jeffersonville after battling brain cancer. Born April 17, 1945 in Norristown, PA he was the son of the late Fannie (Fadero) and Salvatore A Branca, Jr., and husband of Mary Ann (Notto) Branca; and is survived by his children Richard, Jr. and Vanessa; a brother Tom (Donna), nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends and the joy of his life, grandson Marino.

Richard attended Bishop Kenrick High School where he played baseball, football and participated in many school plays. He graduated from Villanova University and the University of Pittsburgh School of dentistry. He practiced dentistry for forty years and was the consummate dentist. He was an avid golfer, drummer, skier, pilot, Black Jack player and model train enthusiast who loved to dance.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, April 24, 2017, from 6 8 pm, and Tuesday, April 25, 2017, from 9:30 10:30 am, at Holy Saviour Church, 407 E Main St., Ntn. His funeral Mass will follow at 11 am. Inurnment will be private at a later date at St. Patrick's Cemetery, E. Norriton, PA. in lieu of flowers contributions to American Brain Tumor Assoc., 8550 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., Suite 550 Chicago, Il. 60631 would be appreciated
