K-9 Predo, Who Tracked Drugs In Montgomery County, Passes Away

K-9 Predo, an accomplished law enforcement figure in Montgomery County and the surrounding area, has passed away.

K-9 Predo, an accomplished law enforcement figure in Montgomery County and the surrounding area, has passed away.

Predo worked with the Pennsylvania State Police Canine Section from 2008 through 2015 in the Troop K area, which covers swaths of Philadelphia, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.

During his time as an officer, Predo was responsible for helping authorities seize millions of dollars of illicit narcotics, state police said.

Predo also worked as a tracker, participating in numerous tracking incidents during his storied career. He worked on the manhunt to capture Eric Frein, the man who murdered a state trooper and seriously injured another in 2014.

Predo served as a part of K-9 team K9-56.

"Thank you for your service Predo. Rest easy," state police said in a message announcing Predo's passing.

Troop K has three stations: Skippack, Media, and Philadelphia.
