Kind Hearts = Kids in Need of Dads

Helping Dads and Kids stay Connected

Kind Hearts’ mission is twofold—to help children
who suffer the loss of a dad and to help dads stay
connected to their children. It is our goal to generate
awareness of how a fatherless home can be detremental
to a child, and to assist in decreasing the
alarming statistics that result from fatherless homes.
We raise funds for The Moyer Foundation’s Camp
Erin, a grief camp for children suffering the loss of
a loved one. Children attend these weekend long
camps all over the U.S. and share their experiences
of loss with other children. They also receive ongoing
counseling services to help them as they work
through their grief. The programs are provided free
of charge.
Kind Hearts provides its own Dadvocates program
for dads who have been disconnected from their
children. We help them with issues affecting their
relationships including custody, visitation, and child
support. We work with employers to help secure
jobs so that child support can be paid. We believe in
co-parenting and provide classes that include both
noncustodial and custodial parents. Helen Riley,
Executive Director and Founder of Kind Hearts, has
earned the Effective Facilitation Certificate from the
National Fatherhood Initiative©, to provide classes
and programs such as these. If you know of a father
who needs help, please tell them about Kind Hearts.
Our services are free of charge.
