King Of Prussia Hotel Compromised In Nationwide Credit Card Breach

Local hotels are part of a massive credit card breach that includes 1,200 hotels across the country.

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA -- Local hotels are part of a massive credit card breach that includes 1,200 hotels across the country.

The Holiday Inn Express, located on 260 N. Gulph Road in King of Prussia, is among those hotels. Transactions between Sept. 29, 2016 and Dec. 21, 2016 could have been compromised.

The Limerick Holiday Inn Express was also affected: transactions between Sept. 29 and Dec. 29 were breached. The hotel is located on 15 Keystone Drive.

InterContinental Hotels Group is the parent company of Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, and Candlewood Suites. The breach was originally reported in February, but at that time the company said only about a dozen hotels were subject to the cyberattack.

If you've been a customer at one of the group's hotels during that time period and believe your credit card information might have been stolen, IHG has posted an easily searchable list of compromised hotels and the timeframes during which the information was vulnerable.

IHG officials said the credit card breach is one of the largest in recent years, and it may not yet be over.
