Latest Coronavirus Numbers In Montgomery Co.: Death Toll At 529

How close is Montgomery County to reopening? Here's the latest breakdown on the municipal level across the county.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Coronavirus deaths and new cases are both trending downward in Montgomery County, but the county remains well outside of the goal numbers which will factor into part of the state's decision as to when they will reopen nonessential businesses.

There have been an average of 99 cases daily over the past 14 days, according to statistics from the county, and about 1,400 cases all told in that time frame.

In order for Montgomery County to reach state's "green" final phase, where major mitigation measures are lifted, the total number of county cases must be down to an average of 30 per day, or a total of 415 new cases over a 14-day period.
