PHILADELPHIA, PA — The weather front moving into the greater Philadelphia region Monday night is not likely to significantly hamper planned activities, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service.

While there continues to be a chance of some rain showers and drizzle throughout the evening, the chance of any significant rain falling during the early to mid-evening hours remains low, forecasters said.

Therefore, trick or treaters heading out in the late afternoon or early evening are likely safe, and the first World Series game in Philadelphia in 13 years will probably not be delayed.

"Fortunately, the chance of rain is quite low during the peak trick-or-treat hours of late afternoon through early evening and most of the heavier showers will hold off until overnight and Tuesday morning," the National Weather Service's Mt. Holly, New Jersey branch said on Twitter Sunday.

Showers and a thunderstorm are likely after midnight, forecasters said.
