Latest Scam Tells Montgomery Co. Residents To Turn Themselves In

NORRISTOWN, PA — The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is warning residents about yet another scam.

This time, scam callers are making residents think they did something bad enough that they have to turn themselves in to authorities.

Typically, scammers leave victims a voicemail, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The voicemail includes a number — 215-366-0877 — which victims are ordered to call back.

When victims call back, they are ordered to leave their name and number, information presumably used by the suspects for criminal purposes.

Authorities urge the public to not return these calls.
