Leaf Collection Season Is Here In Norristown: What To Know

Leaves are falling, and public works is ready to begin collection.

NORRISTOWN, PA — Norristown has announced its leaf pickup schedule for the fall.

Leaves can be placed out for collection from Oct. 19 through Dec. 9 this year.

Residents can leave leaves on the grassy area by their curbs, or within five feet of the curb if there is no grassy area.

Leaves will be collected during regularly scheduled street maintenance times.

Public works has provided the public with the following tips and regulations:

  • Leaves may not be placed by the curb no sooner than 24 hours before your scheduled pickup day
  • Do not rake leaves into the street
  • Brown, biodegradable bags may be used
  • Leaves should be free of debris and branches
  • Avoid piling around posts, mailboxes and fire hydrants
  • Leaves will not be collected from alleys
