Man Escapes From Prison Work Release, Threatened To Kill Girlfriend In Norristown: Cops

Aaron Creekmore had recently threatened to kill his girlfriend, who resides in Norristown.

A man who escaped from prison in Easton on Monday had previously threatened to kill his girlfriend who lives in Norristown, according to police.

Aaron Creekmore failed to return from a work release program on Monday, June 20, police said. He had been held at Northampton County prison prior to that.

Officials believe that based on his previous threats he could have attempted to immediately return to the Norristown area.

On Mother's Day, Creekmore had choked his girlfriend severely, leaving cuts on her neck,according to Lehigh Valley Live, but she managed to escape. She reported the incident, leading to his incaceration.

He reportedly sent her a Facebook message Friday saying that he was going to get free, which turned out to be true.
