Resident Shoots, Kills Alleged Intruder In Collegeville: Police
Breaking: A man was shot and killed after breaking into a home in Collegeville late Saturday night, authorities said.

COLLEGEVILLE, PA — An investigation is under way after a man was shot and killed inside a Collegeville home Saturday night, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office announced.
The incident occurred at 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 15 on the first block of East Third Avenue.
A 55-year-old man appeared to have forced himself into the home, according to police. One of the occupants of the home then shot and killed him, authorities said.

There is no public safety concern, police clarified.
The identity of the dead man has not been released, pending notification of the family. An autopsy is being conducted by the Montgomery County Coroner's Office.
