Man Stuck In Mud In Schuylkill River Near Norristown Is Rescued
The man was trapped in mud all the way up to his waist early Thursday morning, officials said.

NORRISTOWN, PA — A man was rescued from the Schuylkill River in Norristown early Thursday after he became trapped in mud.
The incident occurred after sunrise Thursday near Noble Street, just upstream from Riverfront Park.
First responders put a boat into the water at the Haws Avenue boat ramp so that they could reach the victim.

The mud had come up to his waist before crews were able to extract him, according to the Norristown Professional Firefighters Local 2335.
EMS crews transported the victim to a local hospital for a checkup following the incident.

No further injuries were reported.
It's not clear how the man became stuck.
