Markley Street In Norristown Will Reopen To Two-Way Traffic

The road has been under construction since February 2013.

After over two and a half years of work, two way traffic on Markely Street will reopen on Friday, September 4, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced on Monday.

A ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Markley and Brown streets will celebrate the reopening, PennDOT said.

The $20.8 million reconstruction project had significantly altered the traffic flow in the borough since it began in February of 2013.
