How powerful were the wind gusts that hit local communities Monday?
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — The powerful storms Monday brought severe winds to Montgomery County and the surrounding area, causing widespread power outages and bringing downs trees and electrical wires.
A tornado watch was also in place for the entire county all day Monday, as well as severe thunderstorm warnings.
However, it does not appear that a tornado touched down in the immediate area.

- Heritage Field 55 mph
- Fort Washington 50 mph
- Willow Grove 45 mph

Fallen trees have led to dangerous conditions in some area parks, with warnings issued by Lower Perkiomen Valley Park and Pennypack Trail, among others.
