Here's what's happening for kids at the Norristown Public Library

ALL CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS ARE FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED, EXCEPT WHERE NOTED.
We suggest you arrive early to guarantee admission. Doors will close and a sign will be posted on the door to the Children’s Learning Center when maximum capacity for each program has been reached. Programs begin on time.

KidsMake – 4:30 pm - For kids who like to try new things. Crafts, science projects, building projects, electronics, and more! For kids in grades 3-6. A parent-signed release form is required to attend. Class size is limited.

Get Ready for Kindergarten – 10:30 am – April 19 through May 10 – Classical Kids -- Preschoolers learn about the arts (music, art, dance, and performance) through stories, crafts, games, and sensory play. For children ages 3-1/2 to 5 with a caregiver. Registration required – call 610-278-5100 x 205 or stop by the children’s department to sign up. Class size is limited.
Tuesdays and Thursdays through June 9
Homework Helpers – 5:00-7:00 pm – Bilingual volunteers are available to help students with homework. For kids in grades K-6.
Wednesdays through May 11
Baby Lap Rap –10:30 am - Simple stories, songs, rhymes and fingerplays for your baby and you! Ages 0-24 months with a caregiver. Drop in.
Thursdays through May 12
Toddler Tickle Tales – 10:30 am - Stories, songs, fingerplays and simple games for the active toddler and early preschool child, followed by playgroup time with toys. Ages 2-4 with a caregiver. Drop in.
Thursdays through May 12
Evening Stories – 7:00 pm - Join Ms. Susan for stories, songs, and movement fun for the whole family. Ages 0-6. Drop in.
Thursday, May 5 through Saturday, June 4
Science in the Summer Registration – beginning at noon on May 5. Sign your kids up now for this popular summer program. This summer’s theme is Physical Science, where kids will learn how magnets and electricity work. Class dates are July 6 and 7 or July 25 and 26. For kids entering grades 2-6 in the fall. Build! –10:30 am-12:00 pm - Create and build using a variety of great materials for the budding engineer: LEGO, K’Nex, Straws & Connectors, and more! For children in grades K-6—children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Drop in.

Roll Over and Read! – 11:00 am-1:00 pm – Kids can read to specially trained therapy dogs. Bring your own book or read one of ours! For children in grades K-6. Drop in.
