Meow House Cat Café Aims To Open In King Of Prussia

The café, which is seeking funding, allows customers to meet local rescue cats up for adoption while enjoying coffee, tea, and treats.

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — A local cat cafe is seeking funding to help set up shop in King of Prussia.

A Kickstarter campaign has been launched for Meow House Cat Café to help the owner, Alicia Miller, lease the space needed to build the cafe.

Miller will partner with Providence Animal Center, bringing in felines from their roster of homeless animals.

"The café will allow potential owners to spend quality time with cats who are up for adoption, and the cats get to be social, receive tons of extra love, and hopefully find their forever home faster," Miller said.

The Kickstarter campaign has a $10,000 goal, but Miller estimates around $50,000 is needed to open up. That includes costs for leasing, food an drinks, cups and mugs, cat suppleis, other restuarant equipment, and any modifications needed to the space to help accomodate both the cafe and the cats.
