Montco Boy, 14, Charged With Attempted Homicide After House Party
The boy shot two other teens following the party, authorities said.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — A 14-year-old Montgomery County boy has been charged with attempted homicide after shooting two other teens following a house party, authorities announced.
The incident occurred in Douglass Township in Berks County on Sunday, June 11.
A 17-year-old and a 15-year-old were walking near the 1200 block of Reading Avenue shortly after the party, which had taken place nearby.

During the party, the pair were involved in an "altercation" with the 14-year-old, details of which were not made clear by police.
The boy, a resident of Perkiomenville, was inside a car that pulled up on the teens and fired multiple shots, striking both, according to police.

Both teens were taken to Reading Hospital for treatment following the shooting. Their precise condition is unknown, but they are expected to survive.
An investigation by the Berks County Detectives and Douglass Township police found that the boy had been given the gun he used in the shooting at the party, by another teen. No other arrests have yet been announced, however.
The boy was taken into custody on Monday and was charged with aggracated assault, simple assault, firearms charges, and related counts in addition to attempted homicide.
