NORRISTOWN, PA — A man who killed his ex-girlfriend before setting himself on fire in Montgomery County in 2018 was convicted Thursday on first degree murder charges.
Lawrence Maurice Crawley, 33, of Philadelphia, will be sentenced at a later date.
The incident occurred back on Aug. 3, 2018 at Vector Security in Whitemarsh Township.

Video surveillance from that morning showed Crawley chasing the victim, Angela Stith, 33, out of the rear exit of Vector at around 2:13 a.m., according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.
The video shows Crawley catch up to Stith and attack her, stabbing her multiple times, authorities said. Co-workers attempted to provide aid to Stith, but Crawley, who had leapt into his Chevrolet Avalanche SUV, proceeded to run over Stith several times, according to the DA.

Crawley then fled the scene. Pennsylvania State Police caught up with him on the Pennsylvania Turnpike heading west in Somerset County. When they pulled him over, Crawley set himself on fire, authorities said.
Crawley had been convicted in May 2018 of simple assault in an incident involving Stith during a trip to the Poconos.
On Thursday, Crawley was also found guilty of possession of instrument of crime, possession of weapon, false written statement, and related counts.
