Montco Installs Ballot Drop Off Boxes For Primary: What To Know
The boxes have been installed around the county due to concern over high demand for mail-in voting and slower mail delivery times.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA β Concerned over the high demand for mail-in voting and slower mail delivery times, officials have launched another way county residents to cast their vote.
Five ballot drop off boxes have been installed around Montgomery County to help facilitate the timely return of votes to the election board.
The boxes are located in the following spots:

- One Montgomery Plaza, 425 Swede Street, Norristown
- Green Lane Park, 2114 Snyder Road, Green Lane
- Montgomery County Community Connections Office, 421 West Main Street, Lansdale
- Montco Community College Pottstown campus, 101 College Drive-South Hall, Pottstown
- Eastern Courthouse Annex, 102 North York Road, Willow Grove
All locations are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, and 9 am. to 2 p.m. on weekends, except for One Montgomery Plaza, which is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
βInstalling ballot drop-off boxes is another step we are taking to ensure ballots are returned to our office by the Election Day deadline," Montgomery County Commissioner Ken Lawrence said in a statement. "Ballots placed in the secure ballot boxes will be delivered to Voter Services daily and stamped as received.β

Ballots must be placed in the secure official return envelope.
The deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot in May 26. Voting by mail is strongly encouraged by local officials due to coronavirus health concerns. Get your mail-in ballot at Votespa.com.
For those who do choose to vote in person, the county has reduced their number of polling places by 60 percent, and moved them entirely into public schools. See here for details on new polling places.
