Montco To Raise Pride Flag Over Courthouse In Special Ceremony
On Thursday, a special ceremony will raise the Progress Pride flag over the county courthouse.
NORRISTOWN, PA — Montgomery County will hold a special ceremony Thursday in honor of Pride Month, raising a Pride flag over the county courthouse.
The event will take place on June 1 at 2 p.m. and will feature numerous local dignitaries and leaders who will speak on the importance of the day.
June 1 is the 54th anniversary of the Stonewall riots, which took place in New York in June 1969 and are widely seen as a catalyst for the LGBTQ movement.
