Montco Sheriff's Office Launches Scholarship Foundation For Employees
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office has created a special scholarship program for employees and their families attending Montco.

NORRISTOWN, PA — The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office has created a special scholarship program for employees and their families attending Montgomery County Community College, they announced this week.
The new program, called the Sheriff's Office Scholarship Fund, is a partnership between the sheriff's office and the college's MCCC Foundation.
“Our large staff is highly trained and hardworking,” said Montgomery County Sheriff and MCCC Trustee Sean P. Kilkenny. “But, I wanted to help them with furthering their education, with the hopes that they would be able to move closer to reaching their highest professional level. I think that having college experience can help our law enforcement and office staff provide better service the public, and make our operation run more efficiently."

Money for the fund will be raised at an annual golf outing. The next outing will take place on Aug. 21 at 1 p.m. at Blue Bell Country Club. The goal is to raise $10,000, the sheriff's office said.
