Montco Teen Killed In Apartment Shooting After Woman Called For Help: Police
The teen was part of a group that had gone to protect a woman from domestic violence, police said.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — A Montgomery County teenager was shot and killed inside a Roxborough apartment building last week after a woman called for help during a domestic incident, police said.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, May 21 at 10:14 p.m. at the Henry on the Park apartments on the 7900 block of Henry Avenue.
Kione Gary, 23, was involved in a domestic dispute with his girlfriend inside the apartment that had turned violent, police said during a press conference.

The girlfriend called her mother for help. The mother called her daughter's two sisters, who were joined by two other men in heading to the apartment to check on the woman, according to authorities. One of those two men was 18-year-old Elijah Deloach, of Elkins Park.
When the group arrived, Gary fired one gunshot at Deloach, hitting him in the chest, police said. The group fled.

Authorities said there was no indication that Deloach or the other man had attacked Gary before he fired the shot.
First responders took Deloach to Roxborough Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter at 12:15 a.m.
Gary was charged with murder and other charges related to domestic abuse. A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
