Montco Wawa Closes After Suspected Coronavirus Case: Reports
The store closed Friday after a potential case of the virus was discovered at the store. Wawa did not say if it was an employee or customer.
SKIPPACK TOWNSHIP, PA — The Wawa on West Skippack Pike in Skippack Township closed Friday due to a potential case of the new coronavirus, known as COVID-19, at the store, according to reports.
According to Action News, the store is being "professionally deep cleaned and disinfected."
A Wawa spokesperson did not specify if the suspected case involved an employee or a customer, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Fox 29 reports it is unclear when the store, located at 4121 W. Skippack Pike, will reopen.
As of Sunday afternoon, Montgomery County has 87 cases of the virus.

Wawa has instituted a new policy for its self-serve areas, effectively closing them to customers. For example, Wawa employees will be pouring customers' coffee until further notice.
Additionally, Wawa is closing all stores from 2 a.m. to 3 a.m. for additional cleaning each night.
